Please feel free to check out our sample lessons on any of the following
math topics lower on this page. Each lesson is organized into three components:
Demonstration, Tutorial, and Practice Problems.
In the Demonstration, a concept is introduced with a series of worked out
examples. The examples are revealed step-by-step with explanations for all
steps. We use animation, motion, and color to focus the students attention
on the step being developed. Students can move forward a step at a time,
or they may choose to jump to the conclusion if they feel they have seen
enough to master the concept.
In the Tutorial, the student is led through the solution of similar problems.
In this section, the student is asked questions that lead them to the correct
solution.
Lastly, there are from 8 to 16 practice problems. The student submits an
answer to a practice problem and it is immediately judged. If the answer
is incorrect, they are shown a worked out solution. They are given a grade
on the set of materials. At the end of a chapter, there are chapter tests
to reinforce the concepts being developed.
